Dr. Ronald Cypher Honored As Top Doc
Advanced OB /GYN Associates congratulates Dr. Ronald Cypher on once again being recognized as one of Pittsburgh’s Top Doctors.
Dr. Cypher opened his practice in his hometown of Butler, PA with the goal of providing the highest quality, individualized obstetrical and gynecological care in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
His practice has grown to include physicians Dr. Patricia Arnett, Dr. Victoria Young, Dr. Marydonna Ravasio, Dr. Sangeetha Konda, Dr. Emily Dryden; certified nurse midwifes Eileen Minnoch and Laurie Powell; nurse practitioner Ruth Crawford, and physician assistant Denise Shearer.
The group supports one another in traveling to third world countries to provide care to women in need and is committed to giving back to the community. The practice’s annual Free Care Day in December is an opportunity for women without health insurance to receive a pap smear, mammogram and physical evaluation at no cost.
Dr. Cypher graduated with honors in pre-med from Westminster College, attended Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, and completed his residency at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh. Dr. Cypher received extensive gynecologic surgical training at the prestigious M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute in Houston, Texas, and additional training in high-risk Obstetrics at the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has served as Chief of Surgery at Butler Memorial Hospital, as president of the Independent Physician’s Association and on the Board of Trustees of Butler Memorial Hospital for nine years. He is on staff at Butler Memorial Hospital, UPMC Cranberry, Magee Women’s Hospital and West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
